*Barry the Fish with Fingers* by Sue Hendra
Barry the Fish with Fingers
by Sue Hendra
Grades K-2 40 pages Knopf June 2010 Hardcover

It’s another boring day in the coral reef when an unusual fish with unusual anatomical features shows up.

Barry, the fish with fingers, wows the crowd by showing off the advantages of having digits on the end of your fins. Most impressive is when Barry uses these fingers to help prevent an underwater disaster. In the sense of sharing, Barry shows his new friends how they can get fingers for themselves.

This is a cute story with bright illustrations. RECOMMENDED.
