Lion is a bully. He’s given Buffalo a wedgie, stuck silly notes on Zebra and stolen Hyena’s lunch. The other animals have had enough, but none has the courage to take a stand.
The animals band together and take out a classified ad for an animal to put Lion in his place. Alex Latimer runs Lion through several challengers, but none stands a chance.
Rabbit is the last to respond to the ad, and the least likely hero of the bunch. But maybe the unlikeliest hero has some surprises in store for Lion.
Latimer lends humor and a terrific lesson for the reader on the benefits of outthinking a bully in Lion vs. Rabbit . His illustrations sparkle with silly situations and jokes—nice little surprises creep onto every page.
Lion vs. Rabbit would fall right next to the off-the-wall shorts on the Cartoon Network: silly but quite sweet.
