*Moonbear's Dream* by Frank Asch
Moonbear's Dream
by Frank Asch
Ages 4-8 32 pages Aladdin August 2014 Paperback

Part of the Moonbear series of picture books, this story is a bit strange. Moonbear and his friend Little Bird see a kangaroo that has escaped from the zoo, and they can’t believe their eyes. The two friends think they are dreaming.

Since they are convinced they are dreaming, the two engage in some rather bad behavior. They overeat, break some things, and totally make a mess in the house because they are convinced all this is happening in a dream. NOT SO!

Many parents do not like the message this book sends, and I have to agree this is not behavior you want to encourage in a child. This may be funny at first glance, but give it some thought and you’ll change your mind. You may want to find a better Moonbear book and pass on this one.
