It snowed and snowed and snowed and snowed.
The whole wide world was white.
Emma got to make the first tracks in the snow...
but then Leo whooshyed by on his skis.
Most of the pages are taken up with winter scenes illustrated by the author. Her cut-paper collages create the real sense of winter: frozen things; cold and pristine things; skiing down mountains; et al.

Aimed at readers aged 4 - 8, A Perfect Day is a wonderful book to read on a perfect winter day.
