Each page of Jimmy Pickering's It's Spring is filled with rich, joyous illustrations of
Sally and her dog, Sam, as they discover all the wonders of
spring. Together they encounter flowers, birds, ladybugs,
weeds and all sorts of the delights of spring that make one
grateful for winter's end.
The words dance and tumble across the page as beautifully as
they dance and tumble off the tongue. This book is fun and
easy to read and gives the reader (at least this one) the
urge to run out into the world on a spring day and dance and
twirl on a hillside sporting a necklace of daisies. For
those who know me that is powerful magic!
