Robots, Robots Everywhere! (Little Golden Book)
by Sue Fliess, illustrated by Bob Staake
Ages 2-5 24 pages Golden Books August 2013 Hardcover

The boys and girls in Sue Fliess’s (A Gluten-Free Birthday for Me!) Little Golden Book have fun watching robots work.

A little girl lifts her legs off the floor as a Roomba-type vacuum cleans the living room (Under couches, over rugs/vacuum robots have no plugs). Groups of children watch “robots spin and race and run,” and soon they want one of their own. After all, robots can build cars, drill deep holes and make doughnuts. The one thing they don’t anticipate is what happens when their robot goes to sleep.

This rhyming bedtime story is illustrated by Bob Staake (The Red Lemon, The Donut Chef). The artwork contains a little bit of silliness and a lot of robots (some which look like us, others that resemble machines). When children look at the page, they will see that the characters are made out of basic shapes such as circles, squares and triangles. Share this book with young ones who are asking for robot stories.
