Mini Grey is back with the third book in the Traction Man series.

This time, the action hero toy and his faithful pet Scrubbing Brush are heading to the beach and a day filled with adventure as they go deep sea diving (in a rock pool) where Traction Man has to save Scrubbing Brush from a dangerous sea creature.

Traction Man and Scrubbing Brush are washed away and retrieved by a large, dark monster. But the worst is yet to come, when Traction Man finds himself dressed in a floral sarong, in a Dollies castle and in the hands of two Dollies.

The detailed illustrations and play on perspectives of the child and his toys are captivating, providing ample opportunities for discovery and discussion. The front and back inside cover also feature vintage-looking illustrations of The Brenda Holiday Special, showing one of the dollies in what looks like a vintage magazine and comic layout.

Fun and action-packed, Traction Man and the Beach Odyssey will appeal to both boys and girls, ages four and up. Highly recommended.
