*ABC ZooBorns!* by Andrew Bleiman, illustrated by Chris Eastland
ABC ZooBorns!
by Andrew Bleiman, illustrated by Chris Eastland
Ages 2+ 40 pages Beach Lane Books July 2012 Hardcover

ABC ZooBorns! makes learning the alphabet fun as it combines wonderful color photos of wild animal babies with catchy text:
“A is for anteater. I slurp up snacks with my extra-long tongue. Anyone for ants? Yum!”
As you page through the book, you’ll discover a range of creatures from a baboon, cheetah, dhole, flamingo and impala to an infant jaguar, nyala, marmoset, rhino and vicuna.

There is a fun page at the back of the book where small photos of all the animals are displayed. Try pointing to a picture and asking your child what it is, or perhaps ask, “Where’s the baby panda?” and see where your child points.

You’ll also find a three-page “Get to know the ZooBorns!” section, which is more for mom and dad. Here you’ll discover which animals are endangered in the wild, the name of the zoo where the photo was taken, and more information about the newborn.
