Baby-PreK 24 pages Golden Books January 2011 Board book

Baby Farm Animals is one of the first board books from Random House Children’s Books’ newly-launched Golden Baby line.

The book introduces the babies of certain animals, what they are called, and a few basic facts about each species. A baby sheep is a lamb, a baby duck is a duckling, baby chickens are called chicks, and a baby goat is called a kid---just as a little boy or girl would be called.

Some of the facts (such as that a baby cow – calf - says moo) are well-known, but some other facts (such as that a foal - a baby horse - will be able to walk as soon as he is born) may be a bit more surprising.

Baby Farm Animals is a great introduction to a number of different animals and their babies. The format, which features a padded board book cover along with classic chunky board book pages, will enable little ones who are eager to see what is next to turn each page with incredible ease.
