Written by Mickie Matheis and illustrated with spooky glee by Bonnie Leick, Bedtime for Boo is a charming little story about the youngest member of a family of ghosts.
Boo is a happy ghost who spends the evening swirling leaves, chasing owls and playing hide and seek in the clouds, at least until it is time to go to bed.
Bedtime for Boo is a lovely Halloween-time story for young children who might not be ready for scarier fare. You get all the ghosts, monsters, witches and rats you would want, but in a warm, friendly and fun package.
Leick’s illustrations add splendid detail to the ghost family’s haunted house on the hill, as well as fun surprises with the cast of characters Matheis introduces with each new noise creaking, rattling and whooshing through the house.
An excellent bedtime story for the little ghouls.
