Billy's Booger: A Memoir
by William Joyce
Grades 1-4 40 pages Atheneum June 2015 Hardcover

William Joyce is the weird little boy we all have inside us. He shares a delightful and odd story of self-discovery and empowerment based on an experience from his own childhood. And it’s about a booger.

More specifically, it is about the writing of a book about Billy’s booger--it even features the book as a sewn in addition. Billy might be an odd boy by some standards, but his enthusiasm and willingness to be nothing but himself helps tell a story that not all victories need be traditional and we won’t always be appreciated in the obvious ways.

A lovely tale for the weird, arty little boy in all of us.
