Can You Dig It? is the ideal collection of poems for the child who can't get enough dinosaurs. Over twenty short verses focus not only on various types of the prehistoric creatures but also cavemen and archaeology.
Be forewarned that these are not serious poems. The author's silly verses focus upon brontosaurus burgers, the odd headgear cavemen wear, and T. Rex kisses. Children love this nonsensical material, and Robert Weinstock knows exactly how to piece together a poem and then create an accompanying drawing that will get most youngsters giggling uncontrollably.
The author's last book, Food Hates You, Too, and Other Poems, was a big hit, and this latest effort will undoubtedly be just as popular.
