In the board book Colors , author Charley Harper presents basic items illustrated in vibrant colors.
Readers encounter such things as a green bird that turns its blue head, a display of multi-colored leaves, and an old-fashioned lady with a hot pink hat. Four red ladybugs with black spots and one yellow fire hydrant also make an appearance.
Colors does not really tell a story, but that is hardly a flaw. Readers will find twelve chunky pages with beautiful illustrations, making this book a great addition to the prior books in this collection.
