Daddies is a paean to the fun all fathers and sons can have together, no matter to which branch of the animal kingdom they belong!
A little boy begs his father for five more minutes of playtime before bed so that they can pretend to be animals. Off Dad and son go, wallowing in the swamp as rhinos, reaching for tall leaves (the best of which the boy gets to eat) as giraffes, bouncing up and down - Boing! Boing! Boing! - as kangaroos, and so on.
This book by Slovenian artist and writer Lila Prap is a visual delight, featuring oversized drawings of various animals and their offspring in vibrantly colored and decoratively edged pages. The bouncy, rhythmic text that accompanies each double-page spread is a treat to read aloud.
Daddies is the perfect book for a father and child to read together at bedtime. Highly recommended!
