*Destined (Wings)* by Aprilynne Pike- young adult book review

Destined (Wings)
by Aprilynne Pike
Ages 13+ 320 pages HarperTeen May 2012 Hardcover

Destined is the engaging final piece of Pike's four-part Wings series.

Following Wings, Spells, and Illusions, Destined brings to a close this wondrous tale about faeries, Avalon, and gossamer things of mythical origins. The author weaves together all the strands of betrayal, broken hope and ultimate destinies.

If you're reading this book, you've probably read the first three novels as well. Destined won't disappoint. Tamani, David, Chelsea and the other characters come to their natural ends (don't want to give away too much here), and you'll be left with a smile on your face when the final page is turned.

It's a wonderful world of trolls, warriors, faeries and magic that Pike has created in her imaginary Avalon. Scary monsters and brave creatures and even a human being or two shake things up. The narrative is simple yet believable. If you've visited Avalon in previous books, you'll definitely want to come back to this one.
