Quint and Maris have been whisked away from the land of Sanctaphrax to join Quint’s father, Wind Jackal, on his might Sky ship, the Galerider. Quint and Maris have been friends since their early days on Sanctaphrax, when Maris’s father, the Most High Academe of the planet, was still alive. Now they are set to begin a new adventure with Quint’s father and his montage of crew members.
This adventure will take them to places Quint has only read about, some of them places they will fear. Quint and Maris again find that their survival depends on their being able to work as a team. Quint’s father finds demons to fight, both physical and emotional. Many of those same demons will chase Quint; as in every adventure, Quint learns to rely on his inner strength and on Maris’s quiet encouragement and belief in him.
