Lily (a rabbit) and Milo (a mouse) are off on a new adventure, and this time it is all about animals in Going to the Zoo with Lily and Milo.

Here, the two friends wander through the grounds asking the readers to identify each of the animals they come across. After a greeting from the parrot, they see elephants in the sand, followed by the polar bears on the icebergs, and the giraffes high up on the trees.

Of course, no zoo would be complete without the ice cream vendor, which is followed by a viewing of other classic animals such as tigers, penguins and elephants.

Lily and Milo are endearing characters who will immediately be welcomed as friends by readers eager to accompany them on their adventure. The smart text and the delightful illustrations will appeal to little readers.

It should come as no surprise if after, after reading this story over and over and over again, they request other Lily and Milo books that focus on some of their other outings.
