In My Pond is about a fish that frolics in the blue water among the shiny stones, tall grass, and lily pads. However, as much as he adores being surrounded by nature, it is but a close second to being surrounded by his loving family. The structure of the book parallels the narrative by focusing on the fish since each page has a hole cut from its center that is larger than the one that precedes it. The resulting figure resembles a pond that houses a felt fish finger puppet which readers can make dance as the story unfolds.
