*Is Everyone Ready for Fun?* by Jan Thomas
Is Everyone Ready for Fun?
by Jan Thomas
Ages 3-5 36 pages Beach Lane Books September 2011 Hardcover

Jan Thomas has taken dust bunnies to new heights in children’s books, and now she turns her attention to misbehaving cows. Three fun-loving cows invade Chicken’s house and decide that Chicken’s red sofa is the perfect place to play.

Chicken isn’t too pleased with the invasion and the fact that her friends have turned her sofa into a trampoline. “Enough with the jumping, dancing, and wiggling on the sofa,” Chicken shouts. This is not fun, at least not for Chicken.

Finally, Chicken and her bovine “guests” discover there is something that everyone can agree is a proper activity for the much-abused sofa. You’ll discover what that “something” is when you read this hilarious picture book.

If you connect with Mo Willems’ sense of humor, you’ll find Jan Thomas much to your liking. Not only do her cartoon-style characters jump right off the page at you, but they are also involved in some pretty silly, mirth-provoking situations.
