Little Owl's Orange Scarf
by Tatyana Feeney
Ages 3-5 32 pages Knopf June 2013 Hardcover

Little Owl hates everything about his new scarf. The color is wrong, it makes him itch all over, and it’s way too long.

He tries to get rid of the homemade scarf, but it’s hard to fool a mom who is so wise. Little Owl must wait until he goes to the zoo on a class field trip to leave the dreaded scarf behind for good.

Mom doesn’t give up, though. She makes him a different scarf, but this time, she involves him in the project. When Little Owl goes back to the zoo, he’s smiling because he’s wearing his new green scarf, and he sees the giraffe enjoying the orange scarf he left behind. Feeney’s (Small Bunny’s Blue Blanket) latest picture book is sure to be a story time hit.
