Annie Lind is the most popular girl in school. She goes through boys like most girls go through shoes. Annie’s dad died when she was just a toddler, so her support system consists of her grandparents and her mother. Annie’s mom owns the ice cream shop where all the kids hang out after school. Although Annie’s persona seems to be the stereotypical blond and leggy with no brains to work with, Annie is far from that.
When Annie’s friend, Grace, invites her to participate in a project that needs her special talents, Grace is delighted to find that Annie is a caring, thoughtful teenager who only seems ditsy because she is always thinking about other people. Annie is a volunteer in many groups and is always on hand for her friends and her mother. Through Grace, Annie will become Professor Love and respond to all the e-mails that come into Grace’s blog concerning romance.
Love, Annie , like the other titles in the series featuring Annie’s friends (Storm, the new girl; Jasmine, the artist; and Grace, the quiet one) presents a realistic picture of high school life and the students and teachers who are a part of every campus. Positive peer relationships and parental relationships abound in the “FaithGirlz! Blog On!” series, in which the girls learn how to embrace the differences among their fellow students and find their way to become a part of the life around them.
