Mama, Where Are You?
by Diane Muldrow, illustrated by Rick Peterson
Ages 0-3 14 pages Golden Inspirational December 2007 Board book

In Mama, Where Are You?, kids are treated to a lift-the-flap experience that exposes them to a wide range of animal parents and the children they hold dear. On each page, an animal searches for its mama, only to realize that she is directly behind the liftable flap to teach, protect, and play with her child.

The mother penguin is right behind her son keeping him warm, while the mother kangaroo is holding her child close to protect him from the storm. The mother cat is alongside her child cleaning his fur, while the mother monkey is up in the trees showing her child how the task is completed.

Mama, Where Are You? is a charming interactive board book that will entertain young children and provide them with a sense of security knowing that the mothers of these animals (and their own mothers) are never far away.
