First released in Great Britain, this interactive book features lift-the-flap and stand-up pages that introduce toddlers to fire trucks and what they do.
An interesting aspect of this book is that there is a simple text, a series of simple questions and answers which provide basic information about firefighting equipment. But, if you look at the back of the flaps, you’ll discover a paragraph in smaller print that goes into greater detail about the equipment and how it is used. At the very back of this small book is a foldout of a fire truck with an extension ladder.
Although this book has a limited number of pages, the colorful illustrations and flaps hiding additional text make it a fun read. It is also small enough to easily slip into a purse or travel bag. This is part of the publisher’s mini truck series that also features a digger, a tractor, and a crane.
