Mustache!
by Mac Barnett, illustrated by Kevin Cornell
Ages 3-7 40 pages Hyperion October 2011 Hardcover

King Duncan is driving his subjects crazy. He is so in love with his handsome visage that he is posting it all over the kingdom rather than taking care of the needs of his people.

Finally, the disgruntled citizens have had it. They secretly begin defacing all the posters and statues of his Royal Highness by drawing a mustache on each and every one!

For shame! What will the vain king do now? Perhaps throw everyone who has committed such an atrocity in jail? He’ll have to increase the size of the country’s prison a thousand-fold—because, if the truth be told, everyone has had a hand in the prank.

You’ll have to read this funny picture book to find out what King Duncan decides to do to solve this mass act of civil disobedience. It’s a clever solution to what turns out to be a rather hairy problem.
