This is a sweet ode to hardworking moms. Two little boys watch their mom balance on the tight rope of life in My Mom is the Best Circus. The one-woman show is one many moms pull off every day – with the only curtain call coming at bedtime.
The two boys follow their mom as she “performs” in the best circus show in town – which is just daily life as a mom. She is the ringmaster, juggler, bandleader, lion tamer, acrobat and more.
The illustrations walk the line of real life, with just a hint of the kids’ imaginations drawing out the circus imagery. It is a nice story and can help kids have a touch more appreciation for their hardworking mom.
