Neville
by Norton Juster, illustrated by G. Brian Karas
Ages 4-8 32 pages Schwartz and Wade October 2011 Hardcover

Charming, hand drawn illustrations by G. Brain Karas give a boost of life to Norton Juster’s quirky, enjoyable story about a boy trying to make friends after moving to a new neighborhood.

The boy enlists the neighborhood to help him find Neville. A small misunderstanding brings the whole neighborhood together, everyone excited to find Neville as they help the nice new kid in town.

It’s a great book for a kid who might be unsure of moving to a new neighborhood or a kid that might just be a little shy. It’s also a great example that your neighbors are willing to help, if you are willing to put yourself out there to ask.

A nice twist at the end wraps it all up sweetly. Neville is simply a lovely with attractive illustrations for parents and young readers to enjoy together.
