*Red and Yellow's Noisy Night (The Olive Branch)* by Josh Selig
Red and Yellow's Noisy Night (The Olive Branch)
by Josh Selig
Ages 3-5 28 pages Sterling April 2012 Hardcover

Red likes to swing from the branches of the olive tree. Yellow uses them to grow plants. They live happily in the tree—until Red decides to strum musical tunes all night.

Yellow appreciates music, but not when it’s loud and he’s trying to sleep. Arguing selfishly doesn’t solve their problem, but compromising does. Inspired by the sounds of the night, Red composes a new song—one that (even when Red is sitting on top of him) lulls Yellow to sleep.

Red and Yellow (recognizable from their TV show The Olive Branch) have a serious problem, but the humorous illustrations keep the story lighthearted and entertaining. This book about peaceful living is suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
