When Christmas Pox strike the North Pole on - you guessed it - Christmas Eve, there are no helpers to deliver presents to the world. With the help of his animal friends, the Littlest Helper manages the gargantuan task.
However, the whole “helper” concept is very vague. Nowhere in the story is the Big Man himself. Since there is no mention of Santa contracting the disease, one may wonder why he isn’t delivering presents. As this issue remains unclear, the rest of the story seems unconvincing. Even a children’s story must incorporate a certain amount of authenticity and ring true for those who read it.
Santa's Littlest Helper Travels the World is the second book featuring the Littlest Helper. As with the last composition, illustrator Henrike Wilson lends her charming designs to author Anu Stohner’s words. Wilson’s fanciful artwork is wonderfully kid-centric and add zest to the tale. Her depictions of world landmarks are enjoyable and can be appreciated by young and old alike.
