Spot 7 School
from Chronicle Books
Ages 4-8 40 pages Chronicle Books June 2006 Hardcover

Remember the Where’s Waldo? books? Well, adults and kids alike will find their brains challenged to the max with Spot 7 School, a big and boldly colorful book filled with page after page of photo spreads that will have you pulling your hair out (especially if your child solves the puzzles before you do). Each spread features two photos filled with the same stuff…but wait, in the second photo, seven things have changed, and it’s your job to find them.

Now I know what you’re thinking. This is a kiddie book, how hard can it be? Let me tell you this. My husband and I, along with our son, were only able to find two or three things on most spreads. You can look in the back of the book for the answers, but that would ruin all the fun of this challenging book that teaches kids AND grown-ups to really pay attention to details. There are other “Spot 7” books, but this one focuses on school and related objects, and you do get some clues in the form of riddles and extra goodies.

So start the hunt and see if you can Spot 7 School things that are different. And if you think it will be as easy as playing that old Sesame Street game, “One of these things is not like the other…” think again!
