Teckentrup’s (Bee: A Peek-Through Picture Book, Tree: A Peek-Through Picture Book) holiday peek-through book is the perfect way to introduce a popular holiday song to little ones. This "Twelve Days of Christmas" picture book has die-cut holes on the cover and every page.
Peeking through the hole is a partridge in a pear tree. As the numbers in the song increase from one to twelve, additional characters (and holes) are added around the tree including the ten lords a-leaping and the twelve drummers drumming. This allows the reader to search for, and count, the new illustrations with each page turn.
The two rosy-cheeked elves who appear on every page become part of the story as they seemingly dance to the song. Christmas decorations such as bells, ribbons, snowflakes, candy canes and gold-foiled pears adorn each page.
