Summer has finally arrived, and Little Nye and his friends are planning a vacation to the beach. Unfortunately, they can't fit all the gear they want into their suitcase.
What should be left behind? Even when they remove a ball, kite, shovel and pail, swim tube and swim fins, the suitcase still won't close. By the time they are finally able to click shut their suitcase, the friends discover they have a huge pile of playthings they can't take along.
If they must leave all these things behind, it won't be much fun at the beach. Then Gracie comes up with a brilliant idea about how to salvage their summer vacation. You'll have to read the book to see what she suggests, but you'll see Little Nye and everyone else thinks it is a splendid idea!
Youngsters ready for a picture book with a simple plot will enjoy this Little Nye
adventure. It’s the perfect way of making the transition from board books that largely feature just pictures to more demanding read-aloud material with real narrative content.
