This book explores the inevitability that there will be times when a mother and child are angry with one another. It focuses on how people, animals and objects (!) react to each other when they are angry and concludes that although it may be difficult, a mother and child should try to work through their anger issues with a great big hug.
When Two Are Angry at Each Other explains that angry dogs will flatten their ears and growl, and smoke pours out of the behinds and ears of dragon as they experience this same emotion. Balloons blow themselves up to the point of exploding, and elephants pull their covers over their head. When two snowmen become angry, they usually feel like twisting off each other’s the carrot noses to express themselves.
The whimsical illustrations (including an adorable angry little girl named Riley) add to the appeal of this sweet book, which is an entertaining way to encourage children and mothers to work through the anger and resolve their differences.
