Young children and early readers will be pleased that Woof is featured again in this charming series, this time in Woof's Playtime, a welcome addition to this touch-n-feel line of board books. Woof (a young dog) occupies himself for the entire day as he frolics in the pool and generates gigantic splashes of shiny water that children can reach out and feel. From there, he plays with the biggest, brightest, cheeriest red ball made of such an inviting bright and smooth plastic that even grown-ups will be tempted to stroke the shiny material.

Woof then builds a gigantic sandcastle, which is just as grainy as you would expect sand to be, and propels himself so high on a playground swing that he can just about reach the fluffy clouds above. Woof ends his day under an fuzzy green tree that provides the perfect cover for him after a day so packed with so many leisurely activities.

Woof's Playtime will make a wonderful addition to your child’s library, but readers should be warned that this book is likely to be one of those selections that you are asked to read again and again and again.
