Ages 4-8 48 pages Barefoot Books August 2005 Hardcover

Parents looking for a way to entertain their children with an educational book will be pleased to find Alligator Alphabet among the crowded bookstore shelves.

Each letter of the alphabet takes center stage on its own page (both capitalized and in lower case) along with a corresponding animal. The list is an expansive one, ranging from “a” for alligator (of course), to “g” for giraffe, “n” for newt, “t” for trout, and “x” for xoona moth, concluding with “z” for zebra.

Each charming illustration is created in a way to mimic the art one would expect from a young child but that has clearly been created by a professional artist. Alligator Alphabet is a great learning tool that will teach little ones about the alphabet, particularly based on the repetition factor since they will likely request that it be read to them time after time.
