These three titles from HarperCollins Children's I Can Read! series are all aimed at new readers 4 to 8 years old. Everything Goes: Henry on Wheels and Pete the Cat: Pete's Big Lunch have been assigned a Guided Reading Level F, while Pete the Cat: Play Ball! has an E rating.

In Everything Goes: Henry on Wheels is part of Brian Biggs' Everything Goes collection of books. Here, Henry takes his first grownup bicycle ride on his red bike around the block and sees an ice cream truck, a crane, and much more.

Pete the Cat has a gastronomical adventure in Pete's Big Lunch. His little kitty tummy is growling; he's hungry. He creates a huge, huge sandwich, one so big that he can't eat it all himself. He invites over some feline friends, and they feast on his creation.

Pete the Cat: Play Ball! presents the athletic feline ready for the big leagues. He has a mitt, ball and bat, and he's ready to swing away. He tries his best on the ballfield, and that's all anybody can ask.

These are beautiful little books with straightforward messages of sharing and generosity.
