Becky loves to borrow toys from her friends, and they are always more than happy to agree to her requests. Unfortunately, she is skilled at borrowing but unskilled at returning the items to the appropriate owners.
This situation results in Becky finding herself in a room full of toys, a limited recollection of which ones belong to which friends, and a difficult time getting a good night’s sleep because she is concerned about the growing problem. Armed with a bright idea and a little assistance from her parents, Becky comes up with the ideal way to return the toys to their proper homes.
Becky the Borrower is a charming story with illustrations to match. Children will likely recognize some of Becky’s traits in their own behavior and therefore enjoy watching her solve a problem that they, too, might someday face.
