Boo, the author's cute (and Internet-famous) Pomeranian dog, is featured in this alphabet book for children. Appearing beside the letters A through Z are words (written inside bones) that identify items and situations that Boo and his canine friend Buddy enjoy throughout the day.
After they awake (letter A), they head off for adventures in their red toy car (letter C). At the dog park, they eat sweet-looking snacks.
After Boo visits the hairdresser, he poses in a variety of stylish clothes. At the end of his busy day with friends, Boo yawns and goes to sleep on a blanket.
The letters of the alphabet appear in a variety of colors, but only in their capitalized form. The text, which doesn't rhyme, describes what is happening in the colored photographs (There's nothing like a quick snooze/ Kites are great for windy day fun).
Although there are no children or adults in this story, young readers will easily be able to imagine themselves having fun with these cute animals. This picture book may make practicing the alphabet a little more appealing for young readers.
