Baby-PreK 14 pages Robin Corey Books July 2011 Board book

“Clackers” are a wonderful twist on traditional board book format, and Black Cat has arrived just in time for Halloween.

When Black Cat decides he wants to go trick-or-treating, he finds that all of his friends are busy working on other holiday preparations: making cookies, carving pumpkins, learning to dance, and making decorations. The simple story leads to the predictable ending that they are preparing for Halloween party, and readers who are planning for the same will want to incorporate this clacker book (and the others) into their celebration.

The pocket-sized book has sturdy pages and a handle that when shaken produces a clapping sound. The ability for a story to produce music as well as introduce little ones to Halloween and the world of books makes this a sweet Halloween treat.
