Ages 4+ 32 pages Tricycle Press July 2011 Hardcover

Double Play: Monkeying Around with Addition follows the schoolyard adventures of Jill and Jake, two little monkeys whose antics in the playground serve as a way to teach addition.

Bright and cheerful illustrations of the monkeys and a bevy of other animals in the playground are used to teach children how to double each number from one through ten.

Younger children will simply enjoy Jill and Jake’s recess activities (which include swinging from monkey bars on the jungle gym, of course), while older children will benefit from the mathematical concepts embedded in this simple and enjoyable story.
