Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs Uh-Oh! (Step into Reading)
by R. Schuyler Hooke, illustrated by Art Mawhinney
Ages 4-8 32 pages Random House February 2007 Paperback

Harry has a problem, right at the beginning of this Step Into Reading Step 1 book, when he accidentally breaks a cup belonging to his mother. He immediately retreats to Dino World where, with some glue and materials, he tries to fix the broken cup but then realizes his best plan of action is to construct a new one. Once the project is complete, Harry returns home, admits to breaking the cup by accident, and presents his mom with a new cup that was constructed with love.

Uh-Oh! is a sweet story that provides a wonderful introduction to the world of reading. The text is simple enough for young children to read aloud but provides enough detail to create a story with a beginning, middle and end.
