After several dinosaurs are introduced, the boy’s mother shows up with lunch and takes on a role as a dinosaur. What follows is a sweet bonding moment between the boy and his mother. The end page of the book is an illustrated glossary of the dinosaurs with phonetics that children will be able to pronounce easily. The simple, but realistic illustrations for this compact hardcover are set on bright colored, heavyweight pages and not only capture the appearance and behavioral details of dinosaurs that the boy mimics but also captures the imagination and playfulness of the little boy himself. I Am a Tyrannosaurus is an engaging book for grownups and children to read and act out together while learning the basics of various species of dinosaurs, an interactive book that will entertain and inspire an audience aged 2 to 6 years.
