Lamb's Easter Surprise
by Christine Taylor-Butler, illustrated by Cathy Ann Johnson
Ages 2-3 28 pages Sterling February 2012 Board book

A fluffy lamb and his barnyard pals are getting ready to throw an Easter party for a lucky little girl. But first, the farm animals must work together to gather the eggs and dye them in festive colors, clean and decorate the barn, and make a trail with eggs for their friend. The girl loves her surprise Easter party, and declares that the little lamb is the very best Easter gift of all.

The cute pastel animals and warm, soft colors add a note of charm to this sweet toddler book. A lamb is an interesting choice of central character for this book, and his velvety coat on every page adds a nice tactile element on each page for young children.
