Reissued as a Classic Board Book, No Two Alike follows two little red birds as they explore their winter environment. As the two do so, they discover that although there are a lot of similar things, none of these things (snowflakes, birdhouses, roads, trees) are exactly alike.
The rhymed text underscores the idea of individuality but, at the same time, also shows that—like the birds—some creatures do share common characteristics.
What is particularly appealing about this board book is the portrayal of a variety of winter scenery. The little red birds “pop” in every setting and hold the entire book together.
