Nicholas is really tired after a long day, so he begins a journey to find a comfortable place to sleep. He has an open mind but quickly finds it will be a challenge to find the perfect location. This reality is the premise for the aptly-titled board book It's Tough to Nap on a Turtle .
Specifically, Nicholas learns it is windy on a sailboat, slippery on a fish, steep on a duck’s beak, lumpy on a log, wet on a water lily, and bumpy on a bullfrog, which makes each of those locations far from ideal.
It's Tough to Nap on a Turtle is a tiny board book that delivers the big message that sometimes the most obvious answers to the simplest questions are often also the best.
