All daddies cuddle their babies. Anne Gutman and Georg
Hallensleben’s precious board book Daddy Cuddles celebrates
the different ways that daddies in the animal kingdom cuddle
their babies. From daddy monkeys to daddy koalas, the book
helps children learn the names of animal babies (like tiger
babies called cubs and beaver babies called pups) and
provides a nice way for young children to bond with their
fathers.
The board book, at a mere 14 pages, is bright and colorful
with minimal verbiage, perfect for keeping a baby or
toddler’s attention. It would also make a good book for
youngsters when they begin to read themselves since there
are not many words to learn and a good amount of repetition.
Daddy Cuddles and the authors’ companion book Mommy
Loves are wonderful books for young children. They are not
only very cute, but they also provide mommies and daddies a
good opportunity to show their children how much they, as
well as all babies, are loved.
