Baby-PreK 14 pages Random House January 2010 Board book

The vibrant illustrations of a variety of animals come to life in this touch-and-feel book dedicated to the numbers one through ten. Each page showcases a specific number and includes the corresponding number of animals. In addition, strategically placed patches of fabric found throughout the book add to its charm and appeal.

One panda is followed by two pigs alongside a gigantic two made of a bark-like material. Three crocodiles are followed by four mice, whose fur can be stroked. The number five is encircled by a group of frogs, and six bunnies, one of which is dressed in a scratchy polka dot dress.

Seven monkeys and eight penguins climbing atop a shiny number eight precede the number nine draped around the neck of a one giant duck (plus his eight followers, making a total of nine), and ten busy bees fly around the final number ten.

Lisa McCue’s Fuzzytails 123 focuses only on the numbers one through ten, but the board book provides an infinite numbers of reasons why it will immediately become a treasured part of any child’s book collection.
